Divesima Charity Foundation carries out a wide range of humanitarian programs aimed at addressing critical human needs and restoring hope to the vulnerable. We provide monthly support to disabled and motherless children, ensuring they have access to food, care, and basic survival needs. We also offer financial assistance to elderly sick persons, especially those who lack family support or stable income.
Our education support program focuses on paying school fees for indigent children, thereby giving them the opportunity to build a meaningful future. In the area of healthcare, we assist in the payment of hospital bills for poor patients and conduct regular hospital visitations to encourage and support the sick.
We also extend help to the physically challenged, including the blind, lame, and crippled, while supporting missionary activities in parishes and engaging in children apostolate initiatives. Every program is designed with one goal in mind: to affirm life, restore dignity, and give hope where it is most needed.

Monthly tokens and compassionate follow-up for elderly sick persons, especially those abandoned or without stable income.
Regular support, food, care, and basic survival needs for disabled and motherless children through our Friday apostolate and monthly outreach.
Payment of hospital bills, provision of drugs, and spiritual and emotional support for poor and abandoned patients in hospitals.
Scholarships, school fees, learning materials, and humanitarian relief, including food distribution and emergency assistance in times of crisis.
The foundation of our activities is the Friday Corporal Works of Mercy, inspired by the death of Christ on Good Friday and His teaching in Matthew 25:31–46. Because Christ died on a Friday, the day becomes a sacred opportunity to encounter God’s mercy through acts of charity. These acts are not merely humanitarian — they are spiritual participation in the sacrifice of Christ.
Each Friday is dedicated to a specific outreach:
First Friday: Old People's Apostolate
Second Friday: Disabled and Motherless Children/Children Apostolate
Third Friday: Hospital Apostolate
Fourth Friday: DIABETIC AND HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS
Fifth Friday: General Fund raising
First Friday: Old People's Apostolate
Second Friday: Disabled and Motherless Children/Children Apostolate
Third Friday: Hospital Apostolate
Fourth Friday: DIABETIC AND HBP Apostolate
Fifth Friday: General Fund raising
The Old People Apostolate is held on the First Friday of every month, focusing on the care and support of elderly individuals, especially those who are weak, abandoned, or without adequate care. This program seeks to restore dignity and comfort to the aged by providing financial token of 10k to about 80 persons. Many elderly persons suffer from neglect, poverty, and health challenges; through this apostolate, we ensure they are remembered, valued, and supported.
In addition to material assistance, visits are made to encourage them emotionally and spiritually, bringing them hope and a sense of belonging. This apostolate is a response to the call to honour and care for the elderly, recognizing their dignity in Christ Jesus. It is also a powerful way of living out the corporal works of mercy. We encourage everyone to participate in this mission of compassion, as caring for the elderly is both a moral responsibility and a blessing before God.
Divesima Apostolate for the elderly sick old people has a tradition of giving the above category of people 10k monthly as a token to support their routine healthcares. At the moment, between 50 to 80 persons are benefitting from this our humanitarian service. There are still more that need such attention. It is on this note that I call the attention of those that will like to be part of this life giving humanitarian act to kindly support the Apostolate.
Levels of Sponsorship:
(a) 1 person = 10k monthly
(b) 2 persons = 20k monthly
(c) 5 persons = 50k monthly
(d) 10 persons = 100k monthly
(e) 20 persons = 200k monthly
Any of the above can be sponsored for 1 month, 2 months, 6 months or 1 year, etc. I call this kind of corporal work of mercy PRESERVATION OF HUMAN DIGNITY AND LIFE. The token is given to them every first week of the month. It can be your monthly covenant with God or act of love towards humanity.

The Second Friday of every month is dedicated to the care and support of disabled and motherless children. Through this program, the Foundation provides consistent monthly assistance, spending close to ₦500,000 to sustain these vulnerable lives. This initiative ensures that these children are not abandoned but are given the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
2nd Friday is the traditional day for the collection of funds for the disabled and motherless children. We spend close to 500,000 monthly for this purpose, that they may continue to have life. We call on individuals, clubs, families, societies, businesses, benefactors and benefactresses who can sponsor or support this monthly humanitarian service to please answer to this divine invitation to sustain these lives.

The Hospital Apostolate is observed on the Third Friday of every month, dedicated to caring for the sick and hospitalized, especially those who cannot afford proper medical treatment. Through this program, Divesima Charity Foundation visits hospitals to identify poor and vulnerable patients in need of urgent assistance. The Foundation provides financial support for hospital bills, essential medications, and basic care items.
Beyond material support, this apostolate offers emotional and spiritual encouragement, reminding patients that they are not alone in their suffering. This initiative reflects the healing ministry of Christ, who showed compassion to the sick and restored hope to the afflicted. By participating in this apostolate, we extend God’s mercy to those in pain and contribute to the restoration of their health and dignity.
We invite individuals and benefactors to support this life-saving mission, as every contribution helps bring healing and hope to the sick.

The Fourth Friday program focuses on elderly individuals suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, particularly in riverine and underserved communities. Funds raised are used to provide medical support and free routine medications through healthcare centers across five towns in Ayamelum LGA. This initiative addresses a critical gap in healthcare access for the elderly, ensuring that they receive continuous care and support.
4TH FRIDAY CORPORAL WORKS: ELDERLY DIABETIC AND BP PATIENTS SUSTAINABILITY
We have devoted 4th week of every month to raise funds for sustaining old people with diabetes and BP in Riverine and hinterland Areas. We also offer them free routine drugs via the nurses at health centres in 5 towns in Ayamelum.

The General Fundraising Apostolate, observed on the Fifth Friday of the month (whenever it occurs), serves as a vital support system for the entire mission of Divesima Charity Foundation. This special day is dedicated to raising funds that sustain all ongoing humanitarian activities of the Foundation, including support for the elderly, disabled children, hospital patients, and other vulnerable groups. It also provides the financial backbone for new and emerging projects aimed at expanding the reach of mercy to more communities.
Unlike other Fridays that focus on specific groups, the Fifth Friday embraces the totality of the mission, ensuring that no aspect of the apostolate is neglected due to lack of resources. It enables the Foundation to respond promptly to urgent needs, emergencies, and unforeseen humanitarian challenges.
Funds raised during this period are used for:
* Supporting ongoing outreach programs
* Addressing emergency cases and urgent needs
* Expanding humanitarian services to new areas
* Sustaining operational and logistical activities
This apostolate invites everyone — individuals, families, organizations, benefactors, and benefactresses — to participate in a broader act of charity that touches multiple lives at once. General Fundraising is not just about giving; it is about sustaining hope, extending mercy, and strengthening a mission that serves Christ in humanity. We encourage you to give generously as your faith inspires you, knowing that your contribution becomes a channel of blessing and transformation in the lives of many. Through these structured works, we evangelize, restore hope, and affirm life. No act of mercy is insignificant — each one is powerful before God.
In many of the communities we serve, brilliant and eager children are forced to abandon school because their parents cannot afford basic fees, uniforms, books, or transport. Some are orphans; others are children of widows, displaced families, or low-income households struggling to survive.
Our Education Support Program identifies such children through parish structures, community leaders, and school authorities. We conduct assessments, verify needs, and then provide tailored support that may include tuition fees, exam registration, learning materials, uniforms, transportation assistance, and mentoring.
We also accompany beneficiaries through regular check-ins, spiritual formation, and life-skills coaching so that they not only excel academically, but grow in virtue, responsibility, and faith. Many of our first beneficiaries are already giving back by volunteering with Divesima or supporting other children in need.
